ABOUT THE ARTIST
Dominick Cariani
Dominick Cariani grew up in South Florida with a passion for nature, in particular all things marine. Since the time he could walk, he would be absorbed in hiking, and exploring completely absorbed in the natural environment.
His passions quickly expanded to fishing, boating, freediving and spearfishing and by the time he was 14 he was a skilled and well-known sportsman actively mating and chartering throughout South Florida and the Bahamas.
Starting as a hobby, Dominick began experimenting with skeleton art from fish bones from the bi-product on his charters. He would create sculptures for the guests as a memento of a successful trip. Over several years he honed his craft to create new methods of preservation and creativity to become the premier artist for exoskeletal artwork.
“My objective is to build unique exoskeletal decor that will capture and create memories to be cherished and handed down from generation to generation.”
